MARTA MOZO TRADUCCIONES
Want to Get to Know Me Better?
My name is Marta Mozo and I live for translation and proofreading. I feel truly fulfilled when, thanks to my work, people who speak different languages can understand one another, and texts that need revision shine with the right words and the correct style. I consider myself very fortunate to have spent more than 25 years doing what I love and calling it ‘work’.

I hold a four-year degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada and Dublin City University (where I studied the third year of my degree on the Erasmus programme), specialising in legal and economic translation, the field in which I carry out most of my work. However, over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to expand well beyond these fields. In addition to legal and economic texts, I have translated hundreds of documents into Spanish from a wide range of sectors, including food and drink, tourism, cosmetics, fashion and sports, to name but a few.

To further enhance my professional profile, I was appointed as a sworn translator of English by the Spanish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation in 2001. This official accreditation qualifies me to carry out translations for submission to legal and administrative bodies. I am also a member of APTIJ (Spanish Professional Association of Court and Sworn Translators and Interpreters).
The other cornerstone of my professional career is proofreading. This work has allowed me to channel a lifelong passion for language and literature, ensuring that the texts I handle are correct in every respect with the appropriate style for their intended purpose. Over the years, I have collaborated with publishing houses, universities, translation agencies, and private clients, helping to polish doctoral theses, research papers, magazines, children’s books, novels, and more, always aiming to give them the finishing touches they need.
Now, as I approach a quarter of a century as a professional translator and proofreader, my goal remains the same: to continue pouring my love for languages into everything I do and to keep accumulating projects.
If you would like to review my CV, please feel free to contact me and I will happy to provide it.
